Exercise with Kate class is free to seniors and was started by an Eastern Connecticut State University student who was majoring in Sport and Leisure Management with a Minor in Gerontology. He designed the class with his professors and held it here for a semester.
Participants loved the class so much that we asked him to teach me to run the class and we kept it going! It has been a well attended class at the center now for two and a half years. The class focuses on lower body strengthening and fall prevention.
It is free and walk ins are welcomed and encouraged.
